Bus build: January 2021

With our original plan to be out of our house by the end of January, we had a lot to do. The bus was in no state for living and our house needed a few things done to be ready for renting out, including replacing the shower unit and giving the backyard a full overhaul. Our move-in date was pushed to early February. 

In the bus, we had slats going onto the bunk beds:

The solar/inverter unit and the batteries were put into their final place:

The ceiling was finished after Bunnings ran out of the ply we were using and we had to wait for more on a special order:

The oven was finally unwrapped, ready for installation:

We invested in a set of walkie talkies:

We emptied everything out that wasn't secured down so the bus could go for a service:

Luckily our house was on a wide, flat road so there was space to park it on the street temporarily, so we didn't need to fight traffic trying to get out of the driveway on a busy morning:
