Bus build: more projects
We achieved a lot more while staying on the farm.
We finally got some vinyl on the windows we wanted blocked out:
Eventually put a handle and lock on the toilet door!
A seat with storage was built in next to the fireplace. Its main purpose is to house the diesel heater:
We got our Self Containment certificate and sticker!
I finally put our NZMCA (New Zealand Motor Caravan Association) wings on, front and back:
And added our MotorHome Friends hands:
The storage bays under the bus were finished:
We added two more batteries to our 24 volt system. With almost 1KW of solar panels on the roof, we decided we would be best to up our storage rather than add a generator.
The toilet got a nice vinyl floor, and the composting toilet works great!
The washing machine was installed! Definitely worth giving up storage space for it. Laundromats are expensive.
The last couple of things we got done were overhead shelves throughout the majority of the bus, and kitchen cupboard doors. All the brackets for the overhead shelves, and the handles on the doors, were hand-made by us.
After all that, it was about time we hit the road!
